An Effective Defense Requires A Skilled Lawyer
Criminal defense is not easy. Being a very good criminal defense lawyer requires many skills: knowledge of the law and legal procedures, intelligence, experience, and the ability to communicate concepts in a meaningful way, among others. Communication is key. A large part of my job is getting the opposition and decision makers to understand the entire picture of what happened, not just the snapshot that is reported by the police or witnesses.
I have become convinced that avoiding a trial altogether frequently produces the best result for the client. In order to effectively negotiate with prosecutors, integrity is essential. I am able to bring 40 years of integrity to the table to advocate on behalf of my clients.
Over 40 years ago, I started representing families in East Alabama. God has blessed me and my family immensely. Pursuit of justice for my clients has taken me all over the country and from the local municipal court to the United States Supreme Court. I have represented publicly traded companies and the FDIC. However, my primary calling is to help the men, women, children and families who need my help.
Each case is different. Please contact me if I can be of assistance to you.
